California Western is proud to announce that one of our own, Danna Nicholas ’00, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the San Diego County Superior Court. Governor Gavin Newsom made the announcement last week that Danna will fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Julia K. Kelety. 

Danna has served as lead deputy city attorney in the General Litigation Section of the San Diego City Attorney’s Office since 2017 and has served as a deputy city attorney there since 2004. She previously served as an assistant public defender at the Alaska Public Defender Agency from 2000 to 2002.
