California Western offers financial aid award packages tailored to your individual needs, so that you can focus on what matters most—your legal education. Our team will guide you through the options available, including scholarships, student loans, and student employment, so that you can make an informed decision.

We are here to help

We know figuring out how to pay for law school is a concern for students. Our staff is here to help you from the start to tailor an aid package to your financial situation.

Types of aid

Scholarships
Financial aid that does not have to be repaid (unless, for example, you withdraw from school and owe a refund) 

Loans
Money borrowed for college or career school. You must repay your loans, with interest. 

Work-Study
A program where you work for a certain number of hours to earn money to help you pay for school.  

Veteran Benefits
Additional Financial Aid may be available to veterans, future military personnel, active-duty personnel, or those related to veterans or active-duty personnel.

    Understand the cost of attendance

    Apply for federal financial aid

    To be considered for financial aid you must first submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. You will want to keep in mind key deadlines and gather all your documentation to complete the form, so you can get the best financial aid package possible.

Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid Office at California Western School of Law administers student loans and work-study programs and coordinates scholarships awarded by other departments, such as Admissions or Academic Affairs. We encourage you to reach out to find out how we can help you.
