After your first year of coursework, some California Western students decide to dedicate their time to public service agencies and organizations. Students who choose to participate in the Public Service Honors Program receive training and mentorships while donating valuable legal services to critical government offices and agencies.

Along with training and professional growth experience, students who complete more than 50 hours of service through the program are inducted into the Public Service Honors Society. Inductees receive an official notation on their transcripts and will receive an award certificate.

Pro Bono & Public Service Honor Societies

California Western's Annual Pro Bono & Public Service Honor Societies Induction Ceremony & Employer Appreciation honors inductees into the Pro Bono Honors Society and Public Service Honors Society — students who have completed 50 or more hours with a qualified employer. The eligible hours must be uncompensated and not completed for academic credit.

Each spring at California Western, we celebrate students who dedicate their time and talents to serving the public through volunteer legal service and the employers who work with our students.
