CWSL Alumna Receives Street Fighter Award
Carree K. Nahama ’05 has been honored with Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD)’s 2023 Street Fighter Award. She will be presented with the award this evening, at CASD’s “Celebration with the Trial Stars.”
Carree earned this honor by fighting on behalf of her client, a 10-year-old boy with severe disabilities, whose leg had been broken by his teacher at the Friendship School. Alongside her longtime mentor and friend, CWSL Adjunct Professor Robert Waller, Jr., Carree tried the case twice, eventually recouping over $100,000 for her client’s family.
Caree is the CEO and Principal Attorney at Nahama Law, her San Diego-based firm specializing in personal injury law. She is also a CASD Board Member and Co-Chair of the CASD Women’s Caucus. In 2021, Carree was named one of San Diego Business Journal’s Women of Influence in Law.
