California Western Alumni Sworn into California State Bar

Fourteen California Western alumni were sworn into the California Bar on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at San Diego Superior Courthouse. 

The ceremony was organized by The San Diego County Bar Association, whose incoming president, Stacey Kartchner, is a California Western alum herself. San Diego Superior Court Judge Michael T. Smyth presided over the ceremony and administered the Attorney Oath for the State Bar. District Judge Anthony J. Battaglia (CWSL '74) administered the Attorney Oath for Federal courts. 

CWSL President and Dean Sean M. Scott said about the newly admitted attorneys, “California Western congratulates our recent alumni on meeting this final challenge. We look forward to learning of their future successes as they use their training as competent and compassionate lawyers to assiduously pursue their clients’ interests.”
