CWSL President and Dean Sean Scott Shares Expertise with AALS and ABA

SAN DIEGO (August 20, 2024) – Last week, Sean Scott, California Western’s President and Dean, shared her expertise with the legal community. 

On Thursday, August 15, Dean Scott co-hosted the Association of American Law School (AALS)’s Candidates Workshop, designed to provide clarity about the legal academic hiring process to candidates seeking to secure faculty positions at law schools nationwide. 

On Friday, August 16, she participated in the Council meeting of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section on Legal Education. Dean Scott appeared as a representative of the Society of American Law Teachers (SALT), of which she is the co-president, offering her insights on the question of whether the ABA should approve J.D. credentialing for completely online law school programs.
