CWSL Alumna Christy Hsu ’23 Published by California Lawyers Association
SAN DIEGO (June 27, 2024) -- This month, California Western School of Law (CWSL) alumna Christy Hsu ’23 published “The Transatlantic AI Tightrope: Navigating the EU AI Act for U.S. Attorneys” in the Privacy Law section of the California Lawyers Association website. The article features Christy’s Q & A with experienced tech lawyer Mark Webber, a conversation which unpacked “the complexities of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act” and “its implications for US lawyers whose clients might be operating in or deploying AI to the European market.”
Christy currently serves as a Senior Privacy Compliance Analyst at Pacific Life. She is also a member of the California Lawyers Association’s Privacy Law Section and a certified Young Privacy Professional with the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).
While at California Western, Christy participated in the New Media Rights clinic and served as the the Student Intellectual Property Law Association's President. She was also an associate editor on the International Law Journal, a member of the Moot Court Honors Board, and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association's Event Coordinator. In 2021, Christy was selected as a San Diego County Bar Association Diversity Fellow. She graduated cum laude from CWSL in 2023.
