SAN DIEGO (July 11 ,2025) –The California Western Community Law Project (CLP) has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the City of Solana Beach, continuing its vital support of the free legal services clinic CLP operates in the community.

Now entering its 10th year serving Solana Beach residents, the CLP clinic provides no-cost legal assistance and community education to low-income and vulnerable individuals. The grant will help sustain this important work while offering California Western School of Law students hands-on experience working directly with clients under the supervision of licensed attorneys. Students also benefit from training and mentorship by volunteer attorneys in key areas of law, including housing, family, employment, and immigration.

Professor Dana Sisitsky, Executive Director of CLP said, "The Community Law Project is fortunate to have the support of the City of Solana Beach as we provide critical legal assistance and education to community residents."

The Solana Beach City Council approved the grant on June 18. This is the third consecutive year the City Council has rewarded a grant to CLP.

The CLP clinic is held monthly in the evening at St. Leo Mission Church (936 Genevieve St., Solana Beach, CA 92075).
