California Western Career & Professional Development Office's Career Fairs and Pro Bono and Public Service Honors Programs.
Connecting Students with Career and Public Service Opportunities
Each spring, the CPDO hosts two major career fairs—the Pro Bono & Public Service
Fair and the Small to Mid-Size Firm Expo—bringing together hundreds of law students
and employers from both the public interest and private sectors across Southern California.
Students interested in public service can also participate in our Pro Bono and Public
Service Honors Programs, gaining hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact
in the San Diego community.
The CPDO is always seeking more employers who'd like to participate in our career
fairs. Employers are also welcomed to advertise a job opportunity.
The Small to Mid-Size Firm Expo is an annual career fair designed to connect small and mid-sized firms in San Diego with our students. This expo is a great opportunity to network with and recruit our stellar law students and recent graduates.
Pro Bono and Public Service Fair
The Pro Bono and Public Service Fair provides students with an invaluable opportunity to explore a wide range of public service employers, learn about available positions, engage in informal conversations with hiring decision makers, and submit applications for Summer or Fall opportunities.
Through the Pro Bono and Public Service Honors Programs, California Western offers students the chance to explore public service while providing valuable assistance to the San Diego community.
External Career Fairs

It brings together more than 100–130 nonprofit organizations, public interest firms, and government agencies to recruit and interview law students from participating Southern California law schools.
Each Fall, Equal Justice Works hosts the nation’s largest public interest legal career fair, bringing together thousands of law students, recent graduates, employers, and practitioners for three days of interviews and informal discussions. The event features participation from over 180 nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and public interest law firms dedicated to advancing equal justice.
The Loyola Patent Law Interview Program is an annual interview program that connects patent law employers with law students nationwide to recruit for summer associate and post-graduate positions.
