CWSL Welcomes New Cohort to Campus
As the spring semester begins, California Western School of Law (CWSL) is welcoming a new cohort of students to campus.
CWSL is proud to continue to welcome students who are in line with our mission to train ethical, competent, and compassionate lawyers who are representative of our diverse society. President and Dean Sean Scott has said:
The goal of higher education should be to create social and economic mobility, not just for our students but for generations to come. We embrace this mission at CWSL, with a student population that has a significant percentage of first-generation law students as well as a large number of students from historically excluded populations.
The entering class consists of a variety of diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Of the 36 new students, 42% identify as women, 44% identify as racially or ethnically diverse, 14% identify as LGBTQIA+, and 33% are fluent in a language other than English. In addition, 33% of this entering class are first-generation college graduates and 22% have previously served in the military.
We look forward to the new class joining our community and contributing to the profession.
