CWSL President and Dean Sean M. Scott Joins Law Deans in Letter to California Supreme Court

SAN DIEGO (March, 2025) - California Western School of Law (CWSL) President and Dean Sean M. Scott joined 16 other California law school deans in signing a letter to the California Supreme Court in response to the February Bar Exam.
On behalf of their schools, the deans requested the return of fully in-person testing due to significant technical difficulties during the February exam. They also suggested provisional licensure under the supervision of experienced attorneys for test takers until such a time that they can reliably retake the exam.
The California Supreme Court issued a statement directing the State Bar to plan for an in-person only July exam, however, more information is necessary to determine remedies for those impacted by the discrepancies in February's exam.
