
CWSL Appoints Stacey Loomis Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Engagement

California Western School of Law (CWSL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacey Loomis as its next Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Engagement, effective December 8, 2025. As the school’s chief development and alumni relations officer, Loomis will be responsible for all aspects of philanthropy and alumni engagement and for strengthening the law school’s relationship with its alumni base as well as San Diego’s philanthropic institutions.
Loomis, who earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Reed College and her MBA from The George Washington University, brings over 20 years of experience in strategic philanthropy, donor engagement, and nonprofit leadership. Currently, as director of development and membership at The San Diego Museum of Art, she oversees all contributed revenue streams, including individual, corporate, foundation, grants, membership, and events. She has been a key leader in the museum’s first major capital campaign in four decades and possesses deep expertise in annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, grant writing, and constituent relations, having develop her expertise in prior roles at the San Diego Opera, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the University of Maryland, and the Aspen Institute.
