
California Western School of Law Dean and President Miriam H. Baer Quoted in the Daily Journal

Miriam H. Baer, Dean and President of California Western School of Law, was quoted in the Daily Journal article titled, “Newsom says DOJ is investigating him as experts warn of lasting consequences.” The article addresses California Governor Gavin Newsom’s statement that the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating both him and his wife. Dean Baer stated, “Criminal investigations are stressful, demanding, and distracting.” She further noted, “Even if Newsom and his wife are represented by highly sophisticated defense attorneys, their time and well-being will be wrapped up with this investigation, and it can affect them for months or years.”
