
CWSL Professor Joanna Sax Published in Journal of Law and Biosciences

SAN DIEGO (May 28, 2024) -- Joanna Sax, E. Donald Shapiro Professor of Law at California Western School of Law, and co-author Neal Doran, Professor at UCSD, recently published an article titled “COVID-19 pediatric vaccine authorization, FDA authority, and individual misperception of risk.”
In the article, Professor Sax and Professor Doran analyze public comments on a notice published in the Federal Register regarding Emergency Use Authorization for the COVID-19 vaccine in children aged 5-11. The authors found that some commenters indicated a misperception of risk of the vaccine. The article provides insights for public health strategies.
