California Western’s Competitive Advocacy Program Builds Advocacy Skills Through Summer Bootcamps

California Western School of Law's Competitive Advocacy Program (CAP) offered three intensive bootcamp courses this summer designed to prepare students for their respective competition teams: Trial, Appellate, Jessup, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). 

2L Victor Leon participates in the Competitive Advocacy Program’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Summer Bootcamp.

Through hands-on instruction and simulated exercises, students developed the foundational knowledge and practical skills unique to their disciplines. The courses culminated in a comprehensive final assessment before practicing attorneys and CAP alumni, where students perform a full mock trial, present an appellate oral argument based on a written brief, or participate in a live negotiation.

With bootcamp complete, these students are prepared to represent California Western on the regional and national stage, showcasing the advocacy skills, professionalism, and dedication they have developed throughout the summer.
