Sample Aid Packages

These tables provide examples of the types and amounts of aid offered to first-year students to fund the first two terms of their legal education at California Western.

2024 - 2025 Award Year

NOTE: This information is intended solely to familiarize you with the types of aid for which a first-year student would typically be eligible to apply. It is neither an offer of aid nor a declaration of eligibility for any specific student. Eligibility for the types and amounts of aid described in this document is contingent upon the student's citizenship, prior student loan history, and other factors relevant to the awarding of Title IV aid, including the information from your FAFSA.

Additional information on the Cost of Attendance (COA) and types of loans can be found on their respective CWSL.edu pages.

1 Subject to a student's expressed interest in Work Study as indicated on the FAFSA and eligibility for need-based federal student aid.

2 Subject to a student's eligibility for federal student aid.

3 Federal Graduate PLUS Loans are subject to credit approval as well as federal student loan eligibility requirements.

4 The maximum amount of aid is smaller for students who receive no Federal loans because the COA Loan Fees component is removed.

Some students may receive outside funds that are not listed here. In those instances, the funds will generally replace Graduate PLUS loans first, then Unsubsidized Loans on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
